Tada Compliance Update Release June 2023

In response to some regulation changes, we made some adjustment updates!

Here is an improvement on one of Tada’s features for compliance update. This feature will be released on Monday, 19th June 2023.


Meta has a new regulation where they now categorized WhatsApp messages into 3 types:

  • Utility Conversation: Business-initiated conversations relating to a transaction, including post-purchase notifications and recurring billing statements to customers who have opted in
  • Marketing Conversation: Conversations/messages intended to market products or services to customers, such as relevant offers to opt-in customers. Any business-initiated conversation that doesn't qualify as utility conversation also falls into this category.
  • Authentication Conversation: Business-initiated conversations that enable businesses to authenticate users with one-time passcodes at multiple steps during the login process, such as account registration, account recovery, and integrity challenges.

In response to this, we have made adjustments to our Dashboard. So, when a brand creates a new template in the campaign menu or the e-Voucher menu, Brand will now need to choose between two options: utility conversation or marketing conversation. It's important to note that although the brand selects a specific category, the submitted template may receive approval with a different category assigned to it. We will provide information about the assigned category in the WhatsApp template approval email notification.
